Warning Overloaded Post...

Last week Makessa and I had the opportunity to go to Chicago with Megan, Zarina, and my mom. We were there for a week and it was a blast. Megan had to go to a conference and since she nurses Z she brought her along but she needed a babysitter, and that is why my mom and I got to tag along too. My mom could only stay till Wednesday so I picked up the rest of the week. We stayed in a little town north of Chicago called Northbrook. It wasn't really all that little but compared to Chicago it was. The houses in Northbrook are huge and beautiful. I had so much fun going to Chicago but I was so ready to come home. It is the longest that I've ever been away from Tanner and Remington and I missed them like crazy. I also missed my small town. :) Here is an outline of our week.

Sunday: We got up at 4:30 and were out of the house by 5:15 way too early for me! My mom was on a different flight but Megan got to travel together. The girls did great. They had a little bit of rough time when we landed in Denver which I don't blame them I was feeling a little sick too. Landing is Chicago was a lot better. Once we got our bags we got a taxi and headed to our hotel, The Renaissance-Marriott. After we got everything unpacked and my mom showed up we went to dinner at Steaks and Shakes. This place was delicious at first I thought it was just because I was super hungry but no I ate there later in the week and it was just as good.

Monday we just had a lazy day so the girls could play and catch up on their sleep. But we did go to Nordstrom Rack and a few other places. And we ate dinner at Prairie Grass. no pics sorry.

Tuesday:

Mom and I took the girls and on the Metra and headed into Chicago.

The first thing we did was go to the Willis Tower to go to the Skydeck and this was the view.

After the Skydeck we headed to Millenium Park

There was an ice skating rink and it so fun to watch the people skate.

After the Park we headed back up Jackson St and met Megan and Alisha at one of the best pizza places in Chicago, Giordano's.

Once we stuffed ourselves with delicious pizza we walked back to the park so Megan and Alisha could see it and we went to Garrett Popcorn. Oprah's favorite popcorn place hahaha

After all that walking we called it a night and headed back to the hotel.

Wednesday:

Mom and I went back into the city and decided to take the tour bus around and see everything. It was really neat and a lot better then walking around everywhere. We ended up at the Shedd Aquarium for most of the day and saw all the cool things they had. We didn't stay too long in the city it was way too cold to do much. Megan met us at the train station and we went to dinner.

Thursday: My mom left early in the morning and Megan still had her conference so the girls and I had a lazy day. After Megan was done we went to the mall and did some shopping.

Friday: Megan only had a half day of her conference so after she was done we went into Chicago so Megan could see more of the city. We didn't take very many pictures but we ended up on Michigan Ave. We went to the John Hancock Observatory it had a pretty good view too but there wasn't a skydeck to walk out on. Once we did a little shopping we called it a day and went back to eat at Steaks and Shakes and to buy another piece of luggage so we could get all of our stuff home.

Saturday we headed home. And I was so ready for it. I love to travel but I love being at home with my family.

I love this time of the year for so many reasons, first and foremost remembering the birth of Christ, family gatherings, all the giving, pretty Christmas trees, pretty wrapping paper, hot chocolate mmmm, and so many more things. Last week Megan I loaded up our kids (4 all together a 3 yr old, 2 yr old, and 2 7 1/2 month olds) and went to my dad's in Utah to see Santa. This was the first time my kids have seen Santa. But they both did really well neither of them screamed, Makessa just pouted a little bit but it was cute but no crying!!!!

This was our ride back. :) we were packed in pretty good. Rem got a big present from my Dad & Michelle so that took up the whole back of the car and Kelty got a big present from Pretty Grandma.

These are the cute bows I made out of burlap. I love them and I think they go really well with the wrapping paper. I found it on pinterest.

Well Remington hasn't turned 2 yet... on friday. We just had a small birthday party on Saturday but it was perfect. He definitely got spoiled!! It was so cute though when I put the cake infront of him with the candles he instantly blew them out. Right now he's really into Tractors, Trucks, Guns and Basketball (a little mini Tanner minus the Basketball he gets that from my side of the family.) Every truck and tractor have to have a trailer, it's pretty funny. He got every one of those things except the gun we are saving that for Christmas and some other toys. We love him so much it's fun to watch grow into a little boy.

Auburn Soul

Every summer in July Tanner and I go down to my dad and michelle's to visit. We usually all meet in Bear Lake at my aunts cabin to hang for the weekend and then we head to Woods Cross to get our family pictures taken. We get them done by Auburn Soul Photography, her name is Stephanie, And she does an AMAZING job!!! She is from the Dallas/FortWorth area but she comes to Utah in July. We absoulutely love her. So go check out Auburn Soul. The drive is well worth it.

It feels like we have been so busy this summer. We have been gone almost every other weekend and my house definitely shows it. I probably should work on that. This is what we have been up to we are in the process of buying a farm and planting alfalfa for next year, Horse races a few times, family reunions, Bear Lake, Utah, Stanely, Blackfoot, Gooding just to name a few. We still have lots of fun trips coming up. My grandpa is getting married next week in Brigham City and I couldn't be happier for him. Then two weeks later ya ya is coming and we are going to Pendleton. Hopefully after that things will slow down.

Rem is busy as ever I can hardly keep up with him. He loves his binki still but we are working on that, he is seriously the funniest kid ever, loves his grandpa todd and probably prefers him over anyone, is so happy when daddy comes home from works he screams so loud when he hears him come in, he getting so big he'll be two in Oct. crazy. he loves his boots, or any shoes and he wants to be outside every second of the day. He is also the sweetest and the most loving boy I am so blessed to have him as my son.

Makessa is 4 months today!!!!! Times flies by too fast. She also is so sweet, but spoiled and can never be in a room by herself and if you don't talk to her evey few minutes she fake cries. She loves her brother and even smiles at him when he is picking on her. She rolls both ways so you can't leave her anywhere. She is the loudest talking baby I know. And she is very dramatic and playful. And I love her to death! Her hair is getting long and I love to put it in ponies.

I feel so blessed with both of my children. And I am so thankful that my husband works so hard so I am able to stay home with the both of them. I love my little family and I wouldn't trade them for the world.

4th of July

We had a fun 4th. Tanner had to work the first half of the day. After he got home we went to his parents to shoot for awhile. And then we headed over to Middleton for the fireworks. Megan, Denny, Kelty and Zarina were there. Along with my Mom and Lex. The kids had fun playing together. It's always fun to watch the kids play together, even though they fight sometimes.
Makessa & Zarina are only 4 days apart, so it will be fun to see them play with each other when they get older.

It's Finally Summer!

We have been so busy! So I am finally finding some time to update our blog. We haven't really gone anywhere for the summer yet. We're getting ready to go to Bear Lake for the weekend though!!!
Remington is getting so big and next to his sister he looks like a 5 years old :). Makessa is two months now and weighs 10lbs 10oz, and the best baby. She sleeps atleast 6 1/2 hours straight, which is great!
Rem loves his sister and whenever he sees her he always goes awwwe, its pretty cute.

Day Trip to Twin!

Last Thursday Remington and I hopped in the truck and drove down to Twin Falls to see my sister, Kelty, and meet up with Michelle for the day. While we were there we went to a place called Hop 2 It, so the kids could play and they loved it! Rem found a little friend while he was there and would not get out of her face, He loves other kids and they don't really know how to react to him it's kind of funny.

After that we went to Cafe Rio mmmmmm... I love that place! Then we did some shopping. At one of the places Rem decided to get into the swing. His new thing now is when you tell him to smile he squeezes his eyes shut.... he is such a goofball

Sewing Projects

For Christmas I asked for a sewing machine and I can happily say I got one! Even though I really have no idea really how to sew I have been trying really hard. I have only made two things and they are both for the new baby. The quilt isn't quite finished but I love it so far. And the receiving blanket I think is just so cute! I love the pink and the paisley blue together. My next project is going to be bag. Hopefully I don't screw it up. :)

27 Weeks!

I have been really bad about updating my blog. So from now on I am going to try and be better about it.
First, I am pregnant again and I'm 27 weeks along. And we are having a GIRL! It has gone by so fast. We are so excited for the new addition. I don't love this picture but this is the best one I have.

Remington is getting so big! And his personality is even bigger! His new favorite thing to do is sing with my brother's guitar for Rock Band. He loves being the center of attention and showing off for everyone. He loves any kind of sports ball and calls them "dolls." I love being able to stay home with him. This is the most recent picture I have of him.

It's been forever since I have updated my blog, so here it goes...
Remington is 5 months now and is growing like a weed. At his 4 month check up he weighed 16 lbs 2 oz. He is a total chunk and so fun to have around. He only eats rice cereal before going to bed and is nursed the rest of the time. He's been able to roll over for awhile but he is just figuring out how to roll across the living room, it's so funny to watch.
He is a total mama's boy, but loves it when his dad comes home. It's so cute when Tanner comes home and Rem sees him, and then his eyes light up and looks at me like "look mom its daddy" it melts my heart every time.
Tanner has just been working, as usual. We haven't really gone on any trips, we've been kind of boring. I will be going to back to school on March 29th to finish my cosmetology course,finally. It's going to be hard to leave Rem but it will be nice to get school done and get out of the house for awhile.
Also, My grandpa Marriott has been in Boise for the session, He is a represenative. My grandma just recently passed away so we have been trying to keep him company. I have the cutest picture of him and Rem sleeping in the chair together.

This is my little brother Lex, well he's not so little anymore he's 5'10" and only 14....I feel really short next to him... and he has lots more room to grow.

This morning I went to my mom's to watch Kelty for Megan while they were skiiing and when I got there Kelty was so excited to see Rem. She always says baby baby, and signs baby. I love it! While my mom was holding him Kelty wanted Rem to play catch with her. So my mom would pretend like rem was throwing and Kelty would fall on the ground giggling. After that I put out this little play gym out for Rem and when I set him down Kelty walked right over and layed down next to him. First she held his hand, Then she she put her arm over him. It was so precious. Then she got bored with that and wanted him to sit on the floor with her again. After that she hopped up on the couch and wanted him to hold one of the bears with her. She has been very entertaining today, but when isn't she. And she is so smart. I wish they would come visit more often. It's so fun to watch them play.

Temple Square

So this last weekend Tanner, Rem, Megan, Kelty, and I ventured down to Utah. On Friday night we went and saw the temple square lights and then on saturday we got rem and kelty's pics taken, and after that tanner and i went to his cousins wedding at the slc temple. Michelle had this dog bed that she had for her dog, Mr. Big but he never used it so now Rem & Kelty use it as a chair. its pretty funny. Overall it was a good weekend. we made it a fast one so there really isn't much to tell. but i do have pics, so enjoy!

I Love You, Mom!

This week I have learned how thankful I am for my mom and all she does. And for raising 3 teenagers.While she was single and fending for all of us.

While she has been in Hawaii vacationing. I offered to stay with my little brother Lex. For a week. Wow have I had my hands full. He's 13 almost 14. So he is at that age where his hormones are starting to kick in and he thinks he can do anything he wants.

I have learned that motherhood is very busy. I knew that after I had Rem, but having a brand new baby and a 13 year old to take care of and run around, it makes you realize it a little more. I love my brother and I love being around him, but sometimes when he says those smartalic comments I want to spank his butt ( I know corny, but really.)

I just want to thank for my mom for all the times she put up with me and my teenage comments and actions. I now have a little bit of an idea how it was.

Its a good thing we don't start out with teenagers as our newborns. I think I would pull my hair out. So in closing I am so ready for my mom to come home so I can take care of my newborn baby that doesn't talk back. :)

I love you, Mom. Thank you for everything.

Catching Up

Sorry Its been forever since I've posted anything. Just to catch you up on stuff, We had a little boy on Oct 21st, Remington. He weighed 7lbs 10 oz. And we love him to death. He is the joy of our life.

We recently moved back to the Boise area from Heyburn. We are most definitely happy to be back and close to our families. Tanner has been working with his dad and I have been lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. I still have some Cosmetology school left to do, but that will only take a couple of months.

I will try and be better at posting blogs now.

So i had this great plan that i would start working out after thanksgiving... well i started two days ago... bad idea... Yesterday i could barely walk... If i sat it hurt, if i stood it hurt, so i tried just laying down, well that hurt too... I am finally starting to feel better but i learned my lesson, i think i will slowly ease into the next time i have a work out streak....

I know this is a little late, but i wanted to share some pics...

Thanksgiving day was great tanner and i spent it at my mom's what most of my family there! The next day I went shopping with my mom, megan, kelty, lex, wendy, and shayla. We didn't go in the morning thank goodness, but the afternoon was still busy... it was crazy. I had never been on black friday, maybe next year i'll get up earlier and go...

On saturday we went on a train ride that my grandma bought for all of her 9 living kids and spouses and all her grandchildren and her one great grandchild. on two grandskids were unable to make it. It was a really fun ride you could either ride inside or sit outside on some benches. After about 45mins we got to stop and see santa at the "north pole", kelty went to see santa and i'll tell you what she hated him...

All and all though it was a great thanksgiving, we had lots of fun, so enjoy that pics

This weekend was Christmas pictures with my dad and stepmom in utah. It actually turned out to be good weekend. We went to the Wilderness Circut Finals. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is a rodeo. I saw lots of people that I hadn't seen for awhile and it was nice to see them. Sometimes i will tell you though it is really awkward when you encounter people from your past that you really don't want your husband to meet. so that was really really weird. I just don't like having to explain who they and how i know them. I am really lucky because my husband doesn't usually ask those kinds of questions, thank goodness. Haha it was just weird.

FIRST OFF...I WAS SITTING CLASS TODAY AND REALIZED THAT THE GIRL NEXT TO ME SHAVES HER ARMS!!!! SORRY IF I OFFEND ANYONE THAT SHAVES THEIR ARMS. BUT I THINK IT IS RIDICULOUS!!!!! SERIOUSLY, WHY SAVE THEM, ITS UNNATURAL AND PLUS WHEN THEY GROW OUT IT DARKER AND THICKER.EWW I DID IT ONCE AND BELIEVE ME IT DIDN'T RESULT IN ANYTHING GOOD. I HAVE REALLY GROSS ARM HAIR NOW.
AND MY SECOND THOUGHT. I WAS WATCHING DR. PHIL (YES I WATCH HIM AND I LOVE HIM AND OPRAH, EVEN THOUGH SHE IS A OBAMA SUPPORTER) ANYWAYS, THERE WAS THIS GUY ON THERE THAT IS PISSED BECAUSE HE HAS TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT, BUT SUPPOSEDLY HIM AND HIS GIRLFRIED DECIDED THEY DIDN'T WANT KIDS AND SHE COULDN'T HAVE KIDS AND SHE WAS ON BIRTH CONTROL. WELL SHE BECAME PREGNANT AND TOLD HIM WITHIN OF FEW WEEKS OF THEM DOING THE NASTY... BUT HE THINKS THAT HE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY IF THIS CHILD SHOULD COME INTO THIS WORLD OR NOT. AND HE DOESN'T EVEN WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE KID. POOR KID HE DOESN'T HAVE A SAY IN ANY OF THIS. SO HE'S TRYING TO MAKE IT A LAW IF YOU DON'T TELL THE BABY'S DADDY WITHIN A TIME LIMIT, THEN THEY DON'T HAVE TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT. WELL I THINK THIS GUY IS LAZY AND A PIECE OF YOU KNOW WHAT!!!! AND HIS MOM BACKS HIM UP!!!! NO WONDER HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY GOOD PARENTING SKILLS.
